OK Kse is not working out for me

Keeps saying no saves were found when i already have saves in the cloud already in the game. If anyone has any advice plz share. Thank you.

Try to save the save files in the folder cloud saves, it should work.

Because the cloud is saved on the net, and kse is looking on your computer for saves, where they don't exist. Don't save to the cloud, save to your computer.

thank you psychotron666 and how do you do that exactly. Like how do i take that save from the cloudsave and put it into a file of the game.

Load the cloudsave, turn cloudsaves off and save. That will create a save on your hard drive (in the Kotor 2 folder) which you should be able to find with KSE.

I did this but nothing worked. I started the game load one of the save games, clicked the x which i doesn't show any saves and then i saved which created another saved game and plus i overwrited saves but nothing. this was all in the game but the data from the game just shows a folder of it when i am on kse but need a direct data save from the game on the computer.???

i have used this before and when i look for the save data it was already there but i guess this new version of kse doesn't show it anymore. Note that i am using kse 33.3 update from link here

If you have made a save on your computer it should be in C:/program files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/knights of the old republic II/saves.

You should be able to point KSE on this path to find the save to edit it.

For mine when i i click on knights of the old republic II i see not saves but cloudsaves folder then when i click on it another folder that says 465712171 and when i click on it it shows the game saves but as folders with nothing in them.

if you have a link for another kse to maybe the orginal version to download it might work possibly cause mines is in the order of it but with a that one folder with the 465712171 that leads me too the saves but i dont understand why its there?

I don't actually use KSE so I don't have a link to another version.

When you click on Knights of the Old Republic II there should be several folders, including cloudsaves. One of the other folders should be "saves". Don't click into cloudsaves, click into the saves folder there. Inside it should be any saves that are actually on your computer.

That is how the folders are on my computer. If you have something different then I don't understand what is going on.

Thank you for all your help I will try my best to figure this out cause I believe this is a newer kse because the old one I had before month ago was different and it had a saved folder where I could easily access my saves from the game but now I guess it different but thanks again Cerberusiv.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm currently having this same issue. I have cloudsaves turned off but for some reason it still makes a cloudsaves folder. When I rename the folder saves all of my saved games disappear and when I create a new game again it remakes a cloudsaves folder. I had no issue using KSE on KOTOR 1 but for some reason it's not working at all for KOTOR 2

It would have been better for you to have started your own new discussion since this one is 5+ yrs old. But, you'd want to start by telling us a 'little' bit of background of your situation... like what type PC / computer system you're using... Windows, Mac, Linux? PC or Laptop? Dedicated gpu or onboard (integrated) gpu? Fresh / Clean install or modded?

Right off the bat, I'm going to suggest NOT using steam's 'Cloud Sync' option for the game... or any OLD game for that matter... Also wouldn't use it with any game that does Auto saves. In fact, I go so far as to NOT use it AT ALL but, that's just me. You especially don't want to use it for any game you're going to use Save Editors with cuz, it'll just confuse steam half the time and mess up the saves anyway. So... Right click the game in steam library, choose Properties, and un-check the box for 'Cloud Sync' in order to disable it for the game. While in there, in the local files section, do the 'verify files' option. Then close it out. Go from there and explain your issue--after you've tested to see if the issue IS still an issue.
