This is my canon order (light side, prioritize FIND THE JEDI)
1) Immediately back to Telos Citadel Station to turn in the TSL Criminals bounty really quickly, only to find out the Republic is letting you leave.
2) Dantooine: Bao-Dur just told me he can help build a lightsaber and I have just decided I need to find the Jedi Master's who exiled me. My character is wise and smart, and so decides the best place to start would be to go to Dantooine to accomplish these goals.
3) DUSTIL RESTORATION Korriban: I go to Korriban, into the cave and find the hidden temple where I find Dustil gone mad. After the tomb, you bring his body back to the ship and revive him. He joins you, and I decide perhaps Dustil needs to get away from Korriban. I leave, because I care about my companions.
4) Nar Shadaa: After building my lightsaber and discovering the Jedi on Dantooine, I need a place to lay low and build my strength with Kreia's help. Kreia has a few good lessons here to teach you, and Nar Shadaa is the place to hide, as Atton suggested. I help a bunch of people, but then the Exchange finds me and goes after me. I gain two new companions, Mira and GOTO, who you want to get as soon as possible. This is the best way to do it so that it canonically makes sense IMO.
5) Onderon: You go to Dxun, ally with the Mandalorians, and are forced to retreat from Onderon.
6) Korriban: You are strong enough now to resist the Dark Side, you go to Korriban to the Academy to face Sion. You retreat, but Sion promises he will find you soon. In saving Korriban for last, he will find you VERY SOON!
7) Onderon again: You get the message from Kelborn to return, this is when the big battles really start, the Battle of Dxun and the Battle of Onderon. The reason I always do this last is because this becomes the beginning of the third act where everything begins to explode.
8) Battle of Telos
9) Malachor V
Quicker than what? you go to Dantooine, you find the jedi padawan, you get lightsaber piece, you alter the settler's will and go to turn that in, you get a piece. you trigger Visas and get a piece, you get one on telos from either LS or DS paths.
you only need the 3 pieces.
we want to reactivate hk-47 it takes 4 pieces, one from the mining station. one from outside the academy, and one from returning to telos to turn in the bounties, leaves one more on dantooine outside the temple.
anyways there are 4 planets, I typically go dantooine, Nar Shadaa, onderon and korriban.
then back to onderon for the finale. really not sure what you mean by quicker LS building though
I only regretted it when I had to fight bounty hunters with T3M4, Afton, and Mira. They weren't Jedi yet and I did run out of medpacs at one point.
There were also so many HK-50 encounters. I was lucky to have Kreia and Destroy Droid force power
I think Dantooine might be better as a 1st planet. Nar Shaddaa is tedious even for advanced players
to turn Atton into a Jedi you need to go to Nar shadaa. to get mira to turn her into a jedi you need to go to nar shadaa.
Handmaiden generally becomes a jedi after you punch her enough and Bao Dur becomes a jedi on dantooine when you complement his work on the sensors.
But considering the spam of bounty hunters on Nar shadaa with TSLRCM you'd want kreia with force lightning. to cook all them duros bounty hunters and gand and whatnot.
works on assasin droids too.
I usually do Nar Shadaa after part of Dantooine and find Visas with stasis field or insanity enough to deal with most of the groups of bounty hunters. She is usually wiping the mess off her robes before Atton and Bao-dur catch up. The HK-50's during this sequence are not particularly hard either.
The section with Mira/Hanharr and Atton and T3 is harder, leaving the flop house and especially the Duros when you leave the docks area. Usually it requires someone on melee duty on point to draw the two Duros who melee attack in whilst the others shoot them. The rest go down fairly easy after that.
It is still pretty tough if you have not levelled the companion characters effectively and stockpiled enough decent gear for them.
For someone who is a 1st-time player, it might be a little too much.
But then again, you don't want to do Dantooine first on a DS play through. Brook is one tough jedi to kill
Light or dark I do part of Dantooine first (crystal cave + enclave sub-level). That gets me Visas, the name crystal, a lightsaber, usually all the parts for HK-47 and prestige rank (I use TSLRCM). Then off to Nar Shadaa.
You are right about Vrook, he is possibly the hardest jedi master to kill, that's partly why I go back to finish Dantooine later on if DS. Zez Kai El on Nar Shadaa is the easiest so he goes first.
I suppose you could dialog out of there. but I don't
