Negative Influence - How to?

So I've been through the game a few times, and I was looking to unlock this infamous scene (at 15:35), where you need to be a DS Female, with less (in absolute terms) influence with Atton than with Disciple.

I had a few questions:

1) How would you go about doing this? I see a lot of guides on GAINING influence, but very few giving you advice on how to LOSE enough of it...

2) Is it possible to lose enough influence with Handmaiden to turn her into a Jedi, but while avoiding her getting angry and stopping to talk to you?

If I'm not wrong, there is a situation where you can lose influence with him.

When you are in the Secret Academy, talk with the Handmaidens about your crew and they will say something that Atton used the Echani form to fight or something like that.

Then when you come back to the Ebon Hawk, go to talk to Atton about the Echani training.
Just follow the dialogue normally. You will reach a point where they will appear two options about "Persuade" and "Force Persuade"; if you use any of the two options, you will lose influence with Atton.

It's pretty hard since Atton gains influence with random dark and light side events, so you only got shots at specific conversations. For example when entering the Harbinger berate him, when he got his bad feeling chastise him, the stuff above, when hearing about his background be as mean as possible, and remove him from the team for those +influence events.

because its MUCH easier to max atton's influence regardless of light or dark side. he's a rather agreeable fellow. unless you insult him personally.

Thanks for the spreadsheet! I was able to piss off Atton royally, and while I had Dark Mastery (Consular/Lord), he had Light Mastery at the end of the game. I had him switch to Sentinel at 13, dude's Sneak Attacks from a flank are deadly.

(I feel like if you’re minmaxing, LS Atton is categorically better than DS Atton. You’ll want turn him into a Jedi fairly late so you can exploit Scoundrel’s big Sneak Attacks, and he really only needs Master Speed to work. The advantage LS Atton gets is Force Heal, which can be fairly handy. It is unclear to me how DS Atton can compensate for that, especially because his WIS and CHA are terrible.)

I did not get the Disciple cut-scene, however. Maybe because I was only slightly positive on Disciple influence.

your link was running a bunch of mods which restore content, unsure if you were running the same version of those mods. that scene is a restored scene added to the ending you won't get it without the mod.

It's part of TSLRCM. Scene might not look exactly the same as that in 1.8.5 though.

Wow, I thought I'd seen every scene. Never saw that one before. Probably because I mostly try to gain influence so as to get Atton to teach me how to play pazaak, to get Hanharr to open up, etc.

Thanks for the help! On my LSM Guardian/Weaponmaster playthrough, I was able to turn Atton, Bao-Dur, Mira, and Handmaiden all into Jedi! Don't think I've ever done that before.

It was running TSLRCM, and I had run RCM too. No big deal though.

Will try to get one of the Love Triangle plotlines in a later playthrough, this time the Handmaiden/Visas/Male Exile one.
