Cant Switch Force Powers

I cant seem to switch my force powers in combat the arrows are not above the skill like mele and items are. im just stuck using 1 skill for force and thats lightning i also have drain force and scream so im confused to why i can only use lightning in combat. at first i thought it may be the armor restrictions but i went into a fight naked just to see if it would work and still nothing. just wondering if there is a setting or something i may be overlooking.

Probably since you're fighting droids and you can't use those 2 on droids. Once you fight human(oid)s you should be able to use them.

exactly what the problem was. I figured if i wouldn't be able to use powers against a type of enemy they would just be greyed out so i got scared for a bit thought i had a glitched character or somthing
