I used the save editor to give Mentor to the protagonist, and remove it from Kreia. Does that work?
Or is the game hard-coded so the skill checks if Kreia is on the party?

It's just, I don't really like Kreia as a character, but any +XP skill is something I always go after in any RPG game. Especially ones with a limited XP count and the level cap is unreachable.

I'd like to remove her from the party, at least for a few missions, without losing the extra XP she'd give. It sucks to be stuck with her all the time.

You could test it. One idea is that if you set mines in a room and leave and come back they become deadly to you and you can defuse them and gain XP. If you do this you can check if the XP difference is there.

I tested it.

So, giving the MC the perk doesn't work; he gets the perk but the bonus just doesn't kick in.

However, giving the perk to any other teammember seems to work (I tested with T3, Mandalorian, and the Handmaiden). The perk doesn't stack if more than one teammember has it. So you could just give the perk to everyone, and it has the same effect.

However, using the save editor also cleared my characters from the perks they got from that one mod that adds new perks :/

Still, I already saved over that, so whatever, I'll take what I can get.

If you resort to save editing, why not just give the xp directly instead of this roundabout method?

Once you add TSLRCM all the possible loot will be able to drop by the time you reach lvl 30. By that point most combats are a walkover and the few situations that aren't simply require the right approach. Nothing will be closed off due to XP.

TSLRCM alone will get you to lvl 30 or 31. Add M4-78 and you can get to 33 or 34. There is no way to reach the level cap at 50 without using an exploit, like the infinite Hssiss spawn in the unmodded game, or the save editor to raise your level. Basically there is no need or point in doing so. It isn't even as if you can brag about reaching lvl 50 because anyone who knows the game knows it can't be done through legitimate play.
