Constitution (possible spoilers)
So lets say I start with 8 Constitution

+3 Constitution for Sentinel 100% light side
+3 Constitution for Jedi Watchman 100% light side
+1 Constitution for Your name equiable item

T3-M4 Will give me +1 to his Constitution the first time first repair him
T3-M4 Will give me +1 to his Constitution the first time third repair him
HK-47 Will give me +1 to Constitution in his first lesson
HK-47 Will give me +1 to Constitution in his second lesson

There is one for Hanharr as well but then you have to be dark side and forgo your 6 constitution you get simply for being lightside Sentinel/Jedi Watchman.

You will end up with 19 Constitution, enough to get the 18 Con uber Implant and doing it this way you get more attribute points to spend elsewhere at character creation screen.

Now to the question: Would it be possible to play without dying everywhere. Say if you boost dexterity for the added defence and wisdon for the added protection against force wielders. and taking finesse (since you would have dex to back it up)

That is not how I understand it to work.

The con points (mostly/all?) for T3 and HK47 go to them, not you.

I'm not sure but think that the +6 con for sentinel/watchman LS mastery is a bonus, not base constitution. Base constitution is all that counts for determining what implants you can use - so anything from equipped items also doesn't count.

Even if the sentinel/watchman bonus does count you cannot afford to lose LS mastery as you will instantly lose the bonus and the implant will not work.

So you have to do it the hard way, create a character with 14 con and put 4 more attribute points in when levelling up.

Not dying is pretty straightforward. I play at difficult and rarely get killed. Proper use of companions is the key.

Hmm, I forgot that some went into the companions, though some goes to you, I supose it is back to the drawing board.

Also about the not dying... I have played the game several times without much difficulties (Normal for story's sake). The question was more in the case of starting with 8 con, so the answer fellt underhanded, as if you where flaunting superiority.

Not trying to be superior, I was really wondering why you appeared to have a problem dying. It is usually only an issue for new players who autolevel and/or don't pause during combat to issue commands to all 3 party members. I rarely get killed because I have played so many times I basically know how to set up companions and about preparing weapons and gear for them ahead of time. Nothing to boast about, just experience and knowing what is coming.

In the case of only 8 con you would have relatively few health points. You are right to look at pushing dex to boost defence in that situation. Probably best to go for a gun jedi rather than melee. I just would not start with such low con - so I don't really know how it would best be played.

I think the question was taken out of context, I was wondering how much of a differance it would be playing with low constitution, because I have always been after the uber imlant I have never had low constitution in any build. Though since I couldn't get the 19 Con from doing it that way, It wouldn't really matter any more.

Thanx though for the reply.

Something to note about Constitution, i'm mostly positive that it influences your health regeneration. The more constitution you have the faster that your health will regen. If you have only 8 Constitution and -1 modifier your health will regen EXTREMELY SLOW. This will cause problems especially during early game.

As far as I remember the Watchman gets bonuses to Dex not Con. As for your question, I rarely put my Con above 10 and have had no real problems surviving at any point in the game.

Sesh - Oh, thanx. I will keep that in mind once I have redone my calculations.

That chart seems to be too simple, the bonuses that are gained by Sentinels and Consulars are different from the bonuses gained by their equivalent prestige classes, at least for light side mastery.

I had hoped they would be acurate though now I am uncertain. But there is one thing, either I missunderstand you or you missunderstand the chart. I can't tell which.

Say you go Sentinel Jedi Master then according to the chart you would get 3+ Constitution and 3+ Wisdom. isn't that what you said, that they would differ. (this is what I mean that there is a missunderstanding somewhere)

The chart is essentially correct, if you don't reach force mastery before reaching a prestige class you get the light bonus (even if you are well to the dark side) once you reach mastery. Once you have a prestige rank and reach force mastery you get the prestige class bonus for your current alignment.

If you reach force mastery in your initial class you get the alignment bonus as appropriate.

I'm currently playing a guardian/marauder and only reached force mastery after getting the prestige rank so my character gets +3 STR and +1-8 damage. If I had reached force mastery before prestige rank I would be getting +2-16 damage.

The initial and prestige class bonuses are the same for the light side classes - so a sentinel/watchman gets +3 CON for each class for a total of +6. The same is true for dark side but it would be difficult to reach force mastery in your initial class unless you deliberately put off taking a prestige class so usually characters have the light bonus for their initial class.

Going back to the original question, implants. what I don't know is if you go sentinel/watchman whether the +6 CON is counted as base (and so counts for implants) or is add-on, like from equipment, (and doesn't count).

Incidentally, according to my information you can only get CON points from Hanharr and 2 points are available.

Thanx for additional insight on mastery, though as for the rest, please reade the rest of the thread, I have moved on
