Constant menu scrolling?
I have this problem where the selected items in the main menu are constantly scrolling on their own, I know my mouse has a kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up scroll wheel so at first I assumed it was just the mouse, I started the game up in big picture mode with a steam controller while my mouse was turned off and the problem still exists.

Anybody encounter this and have a fix? I have a second mouse I can try.

Mine is doing the same thing. Have no idea how to fix. Kind of sucks that you purchase these games and for the most part seem broken.

I guess that is the problem with older games and newer operating systems, I should try to run it in compatability mode.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix? I'm having the same problem. I've tried everything from unplugging all USB devices except keyboard and mouse, running in compatibility modes, editing INI to try windowed mode. Nothing seems to work.

Menu's keep constantly scrolling on their own once you mouse over an item, for example, mouse over "New Game" in main menu and then it just starts selecting/scrolling upwards on its own constantly. It does it in every menu.

Still haven't found a fix, I also haven't tried hard enough either.,

Having the same problem. It's not just the menu choice scrolling thoiugh. Every time it scrolls over a meny choice, it alters it.

Ok. Figured it out. My Logitech 2.4 Freedom Joystick caused it. I suppose the game misread it as a gamecontroller. Once I removed it's USB everything sxtarted to work normally. Bit disappointed though. They should have been able to code for different game controllers.

Ah, the problem for me is that I have no controllers or anything else plugged into the PC, but I'll check just to make sure

First thing to do is unplug any controllers, joysticks or second mouse. Try with a different mouse.

Second is to uninstall any drivers for such devices. Your game is getting a control input from something, the question is what?

The issue is a lot of controllers have very little low dead zones and if the game doesnt allow you to modify it then you will see constant scrolling. That is at least the case for me and my xbox one controller. This happens in other old games as well like Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005. You need to find a way to set a dead zone or to use a different controller.
