Mod support
Read the FAQ and i know this game doesn't have mod support, but it really should be considered. Having a robust modding community is important and this type of game screams for mod support to allow customization. I'm grabbing it anyway since a review mentioned it was like XCom in WW2. I love squad based tactics game. Taking a break from JA3 (which has mod support) and will try this out over the weekend.

I do hope that they consider mod support in the future. Like you say - when you consider the XCom modding community is one of the reasons that XCom is still amongst the most popular turn based tactical games - and it was released in 2016

Mod support is always something I'll fight for as it's where some of the best content comes from and some of the best games (Counter-strike, DOTA, Portal, all began as mods and plenty others), but to really commit we would have had to change a lot of the internal scope and what we could achieve if we had to also reserve some of the team on ONLY mods and tools.

Especially in terms of providing long-term support that doesn't break when we issue updates. This is why we've made a slight compromise and offered the Mission Creator instead of full tools.

I totally agree with you BadAzz . This game should have and needs mod support. I wont rant and rave but someone please allow and set up modding capabilities..

Folder structure on install already suggests there will be mod support. Seems logical given it's essentially using the same model as the older xcom series, and that ended up having TONS of mods. All depends on how popular the game becomes.

Agreed, MOD support will extend life of game, like to see DLC extending game to Berlin and beyond

Fair enough but for goodness sake will you make some authenticity/immersion checks on a few things namely

1. Ok I get most if not all guns in game are supposed to fire in bursts but this fuggly m1 carbine you start with is a freak of nature that needs to be rid of, also why can't the m1897 have 5 shells??? as it does, seeing Lee enfields with 4 shot capacity also gives me brain cancer, I mean 5 is at least one strip clip and one could argue that in hopes of reserving ammo behind enemy lines is at least feasible

2. why can't all classes use SMG's and non scoped rifles? only snipers get scoped is fair and have special abilities and bonuses that regard sniping it's mega cringe to see a Brit with an m1897 non would have ever been seen poking one with a 5 ft pole anyhow 'tis not a gentlemans weapon of war Sir!

looks like i'll skip the game then. I'm not playing any singleplayer games anymore that don't have mod support.

Aww, bummer. Was going to buy the game, but this is a deal breaker for me

Same here. Without mod support I'd have gotten bored of XCOM2 after my 3rd playthrough. Not buying a TBT game like it without mod support, when I might just as well re-play XCOM2 with some new mods for free.
Honestly, this game needs it. It's filled with too many design decisions aimed at seemingly no specific target audience, so it just kind of seems to rub everyone the wrong way at one point or another. Mods provide the opportunity for the player to adjust the features to suit their individual play style themselves.

Also, I think I've sunk like a thousand hours into Xcom 2 because I'm able to play as Venom Snake from Metal Gear solid fighting resident evil monsters backed by factions from the Mass Effect universe. Historic accuracy went out the window with this game when I got sent into battle with a 3 round shotgun and M1 with a 4 man team of privates, so it's really not an excuse.
