How to free your Henchmens?

Hi, I'm kind of stuck, since my only Henchmens "Squigs" and "Doc" are imprisoned and I just can't do any other missions without them. So as you could've guessed from the title: How can i free them? Both of my Special missions failed and there is no Timer which tells me how long they are imprisoned.

As far as I can tell the only way to free them is to do the special mission it gives you or to call in a favour from a politician. The latter you can do by first finding a politician's house on the map, getting him to be "warm" to you then asking for your guys to be released. I don't think it releases them on its own. If you can't find a politician and can't complete the level without them it might be best to restart the level.

Well i found a politician, but thers no way to have a "Warm relation" with him.

You need to bribe him.

Restart - go from your map screen autosave.

If you start off "guns a' blazing" and raid warehouses and the like for stock to sell to make some early scratch you will end up stepping on the higher-ups toes.

The higher-ups are usually politicians and crime lords. Everyone is interconnected. Remember, you're trying to take over an existing economy. How would you feel if some thug FOB came in and shot up your warehouse for booze?

Source: I raided a warehouse and pissed off the only sherriff in the process. Had to restart after the heat got too hot.
