Suggest me a game that is..

I tried a lot of "strategic games not city builders" and i'm allways fed up with them after some hours, even discovering all aspects of the game may be funny in the first hours. I talk about games like Hospital tycoon, Zoo tycoon, Hotel tycoon...
On the opposite, i really appreciated Raillroad Tycoon 1,2,3 and regret that Sid Meier's raillroads did not get more maps and adds

Imo Gangsters 1 is the best if you can get over the low graphics

There is also a game called "Escape from Paradise City" that is by the same people that made Gangland. Its more of an RPG spritual successor to gangland. The Story mode however is a complete boring chore (Yet somehow more fun than Omerta...)

Theme Hospital is way better than Hospital Tycoon. Very funny all the way, quite in depth. Old as dirt, though, and hard to run on Win7 or better. There's a free mod for it called "CorsixTH" that will allow you to play the game on a modern computer. The Railroad Tycoon games are also good, but as far as I know also don't run on Win7 or better

Gangsters: Organized crime was brilliant, you'll need an guide to know where to begin, the original tutorial was pretty vague. I found a Prima guide for it in a cheapo thrift shop a while back, defo worth reading,

It's a bit old, and has a bit of an odd management style (no direct control over your minions) but Evil Genius is quite a bit of fun. You can pick it up on GoG for cheap too.

I second this suggestion. It lacks the tactical combat but it's a great simulator.

Barracuda, try Crusader Kings.

Starting out in Crusader Kings can be a little overwhelming but the game is a lot of fun.

Evil Genius is an awesome game that's at least as slow-paced as Omerta, maybe even more so. But it gets every detail sooo right! It's on STEAM as well.

Crusader Kings II is one of the best computer games ever, period. Not a graphical superstar, and a heavy learning curve, but once you get into it, holy smackadoodle. Just the best gaming since Half-Life 2 or Tie Fighter, if not more so.
