I have the same problem, I can't get a confirmation email either. I saw on another thread that the support staff are on vacation until January 6th, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Sometimes when you do a job with a henchman with a car, he will keep on driving but never do it (this is only on the map, so for example when hiring a joint) and after some time (like 15 minutes) the job will auto-complete. Also when this happens, he cannot leave his car anymore (there's just a big red cross on his portrait)
The current solution is by doing a side-job for someone else.

It was exactly when doing that job (I think it was liquor) that he kept driving.
You can make a Lookout which will give you an option to go into a combat if you wish to defend from a drive-by.
