EDIT: It has a demo on the steam page, plus its for sale. Ill give it a go :)
Especially if you consider the micro-management and strategic aspects.
It was made by the developers who make the Tropico series.
Just as Tropico is a simplified version of the SimCity games, Omerta is a simplified version of the Gangster games. So don't expect the same level of depth and complexity as in Gangsters.
If you like the "old-time" gangster theme then Omerta is actually quite good.
For one thing the atmosphere of the game is very nice, with the voice-acting, music and such.
The tactical combat was awesome to me, it was the best thing about Omerta.
It was challenging even on Normal difficulty.
It struck a nice balance between complexity and easy management.
You really had to think about your surroundings and your gangmember's skills and weapons.
How much combat you do in the game depends mostly on yourself.
The weak part of the game is the empire-building aspect.
There's not much strategizing involved with it unless you play on a higher difficulty level.
Playing the game on Easy or Normal will trivialize the whole Empire-building aspect because it is just too easy.
However the combat becomes very, very difficult on these higher settings.
So on the whole the game feels rather unbalanced.
So if its at least close to (even if its easier) I can always put the difficulty up.
Thank you once again... Im going for it :)
Kyle.... See you on the battlefield of GangNoobSters
Oh jack wouldn;t that be sweet!
Here is the link for voting for Gangsters 3 :) I wont promise it will happen, but we have to start from somewhere
