Multiplayer

Just bought the game, and looking at the multiplayer aspect but I'm getting a server error message every time. Any insight or help? Thanks.

I contacted Kalyso a few days ago support and they said they are working on it to comply with New EU privacy requiements. They did not inducate when their server would be up and running

They will have to rewrite the network code (?) to revise it to comply. That will take time, especially as the team doing it would likely be like.... 3 people. We will be lucky if they finish the work at all. They are long past done on this game.

So be patient.

3 months? Are you kidding? Don't believe there is ever gonna be working multiplayer again.

Probably not. They probably gave up. But that word came from the devs. I dunno. We'll see.

Yeah... they gave up lol However I have a creeping suspicion the devs fobbed the fans off with that "law compatibility" line. Almost straight away, they removed Multiplayer from Omerta's feature listing everywhere...

Angar was right. Shoulda knowm... Right from the get go, they barely supported this game. The free update adding gangs was a miracle. The DLC less so cuz well, money... but yeah this game really seems to be a "make, sell, forget" which is real shame. Still, the game runs stable and is moderately fun (*the story of both main and DLC is surprisingly interesting) and it is not TOO expensive for what it offers (as long as you know what you are getting)

All up... in the end I am happy with my purchase. Just... I sure damn wish they fixed the godawful combat parts against the AI. Utterly crazy accurate AI is NOT fun.
