Assassins Creed 3 Uplay activation key

I would really like to play the game I just paid for, but I can't get past this Uplay activation screen. Where is the key??? If you're in-game, Shift+Tab for the overlay and then click "View CD Key". How do you get "in-game" if you have to enter a Uplay code first? My steam user account says I am in game, but I assume that's only cause I tried to launch it.

uplay should popup & ask for activision key when you first launch game. Just copy the steam key to clipboard & then Ctl+V the serial in Uplay field. Thats what i did & it hasnt asked since.

Before you launch game go to Library & click "CD Key"-->http://i.imgur.com/gm53y.jpg

Now copy it to clipboard & THEN launch game. Uplay should popup asking for activation.

Now Just CTL+V in the Uplay field & activate!

I guess you didn't read my question. I asked where to get the key. I can't get in to the game to get the key if I can't get past the stupid Uplay screen that wants a key.

when youre in the game and you press shift+tab
(or in the game library) you will see in the upper right corner a few buttins and in one of them there is a cd key

CD KEY is not showing there.

try validating your files & restart steam, sometimes the key wont show up untill you do that. idk what else it could be.

In Steam right click on Assassin's Creed III. Then click "View CD Key".

I rebooted and the key came up on it's own when I tried to launch this time. So I guess that's all it was. I didn't know I needed to reboot, I usually don't have to.

yeah, sometimes steam needs a reboot to have files show up(or codes) Have no idea why...

go to steam, click on the AC3 line in your library, then on the right side of the screen there will be several option one of them is view cd-key. enjoy

try reinstalling the game. when its finished it should say something like "Thank you for downloading! Your CD key is ..." and has the option to copy to clipboard or says to write it down. Hope this helped!

So you can activate the Steam purchase on Uplay but not the other way around? Super lame.

My problem is that the key, given me by steam for AC3 pre purshare is not valid. And I've tried many ways of tiping it, but it dosent work.

@Drako i had that same problem to on monday contact ubisoft support and they will walk you through a whole bunch of steps to get it to work because the steam version of the game installs a diffrent version of uplay for some odd reason
