I hate the tree Viewpoints.

Whoever was responsible for this garbage should be sacked. From getting on to the first branch, to praying to whatever god you worship that the game will actually register you want to jump and hang on the last branch, or even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of requiring you to jump off the tree (you can't climb down.) WHEN YOU CANT SEE THRU THE LEAVES TO KNOW WHICH WAY TO JUMP TO SAFETY! No word of lie, i've died maybe 20 times in this game, 19 of which were getting up these ♥♥♥♥ing trees. Now i'm stuck on the last one in the bottom left of the frontier because some brainchild dev made it so you need to jump on a branch BUT theres a leave pile in the EXACT. SAME. DIRECTION. You need to be looking perfectly 15 degrees off the leave pile and hope like hell the game actually registers it. Took me 11 tries before I deemed it bugged and said ♥♥♥♥ it. ♥♥♥♥ you dev.

yeah this game makes me so sad and angry :( like they've wanted to do a lot of stuff, but everything was kinda halfway done. i personally hate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unituitive menus and stupid grindning missions, 0 fun. only good thing is the story

Oh damn, this is the one I'm stuck on. So you CAN do it ? I always end up jumpng in the leaves, so irritating

I gave up, theres no way I could figure out to do it, if you jump tword the leaves you always jump into it, or to the right of the branch, so thats out. If you jump the other way, connor NEVER grabs the branches, so thats out. So I say its bugged.

I just taped a piece of clear tape to my screen and drew a dot on it, so I knew exactly where I'm jumping. and I gradually went away from leap of faith...and when I wasn't leaping,I died. I think this is bugged.

i also hate the trees, i prefer climbing really tall buildings, but i prefer climbing a tree to sync a viewpoint than the monotony of running/riding around for hours and hours to survey every inch of the land to find out what you can do in that area

but yes you can survey from all the trees ive done it already, you just need to move your mouse to center the view on the branch, i made the mistake of just trying to freerun the whole thing and i fell and died

Definitely. Overall I still liked the game but it was probably one of the most frustrating things I have had to play through especially given how polished the last couple entries were. Here's hoping future entries with the new engine get the same treatment.

hey. i just wanted to mention what i noticed ingame. After you synchronise with the viewpoint in the trees, it automatically points you in the direction of the haystack or pile of branches so you can do a leap of faith.
this is my observations only, but i did test it once or twice i think.

On the big tree, once you get nearly to the top, you have to swing on the branches by jumping away from the tree, and it curves around to the V in the trunk. thats the only way to reach it.

Agreed. One tree took me about 15 times trying to get to the top because Connor would get stuck in the branches or wouldn't auto swing to the next branch, all I could do was drop out. So effing frustrating. Likewise I've died a couple of times jumping out after syncing.

I don't think I've ever played a game where one minute I thought the game was so cool and the next I was cursing its name and the devs because the controls and bugs are so annoying.

Oh yea, I know that tree, it was very frustrating. But I managed to do it on about the 9th try.
