Animus forgot how to translate to English?
So, I get that they would be speaking in a Native tounge, and I assume the words are all correct and everything because it's something they would have for the AC series. What I don't get, is why are we/Desmond hearing the Native language when in all the other games the Animus translated all the languages to English, for the most part.

Subtitles, but seriously its probably done for narrative reasons just like how Ezio while mostly in English did often speak in Italian as well.

Here's how I always saw it, and let's use Ezio as an example:

Often times he'd start a sentence in Italian, but then the rest is in English. I always perceived that he is always speaking in Italian yet since we are using the Animus to see and experience what our ancestors did, we automatically translate it to what we can understand.

Why they didn't do the same thing for this game is beyond me. I'm not a fan of the language, and I also really don't like using Subtitles. I feel it detracts from the immersion of the experience. And it's not like I can just ignore the Native American dialogue, it's heavily story relevant.

Makes little sense, seeing as how I thought the Animus itself got "patched" ingame.
Also completely off topic, anyone figure out how to use a parachute irl in game? I was jumping around inside the cave structure and it just poped out and can't figure out how to use it again.. or if it was just a one time use, which would be rather annoying..
