Assassins Creed 3 Johnson's errand glitch

ok i have spent the past 3 days trying to figure this out so i figure ill break down and come here.
im at the point where i have to shoot the barrels as haythem. the game wont allow me to target the powder kegs i free aim over the barrels and NO WHITE OUTLINE. which in turn tells the game there is nothinbg there to shoot making that mission impossible to pass. ive un installed and re installed 2 times ive searched the internet to high heaven and cant find anything to fix this. ive looked for patches both official and unofficial ive restarted the mission, ive restarted the game, i have done everything i can possibly think of to do and nothing works its as if the barrels dont exist. the game wont let me target them at all

have you tried pressing F for the manual aiming?

ok i fixed it and for any one with this issue Running the game at 5760x1080 resolution (aka 3 monitors) the game apperantly has issues in that resolution drop it down to one screen for that mission and it will fix the issue
