That's exactly what was happening to me, actually. Hmm. I might just be lucky, then. Oh, one thing you should do is make sure uPlay is installed on the same hard drive as your games. This only applies if you have multiple drives, of course.
Yeah, mine are on a seperate internal drive. Just uninstall uPlay (won't affect your games if you bought them through Steam), and reinstall it on your other drive. Hopefully that fixes it.
You're not installing it in the right location then. Did you change the install location at the beginning to your external drive?
I started it through Uplay first, just to see if it worked, but I can start it through Steam fine now too (it actually launches Steam for you if you do it through Uplay).
After uninstalling the Ubisoft launcher and installing it to my E drive, it says it can't find the launcher.
Is there a way to change the search path so it doesn't look for it in the default C drive directory?
Edit: Now it's doing the straight-to-post-game thing in the E drive installation aswell, so I got it to work in the right hdd atleast. Still can't start the game though.
What exactly is it doing, how far do you get after you launch the game?
"Thank you for playing Assassin's Creed 3", playtime 0 hours 0 minutes.
It doesn't actually start the game, though my game log registeres it as having started the game doesn't launch.
Try and reverify the games integrity, Go to your steam library, right click on the game choose properties. Then go to the local files tab and choose verify the integrity of the games cache.
