"A Boorish Man" cutscene won't start
So I've been playing AC3 for a while, and I've gotten to the part where Connor leaves his villiage and heads out into civilization.

I approach the manor where the map marker was located, walk up to the door, hit "E" to start the mission and...

Nothing.

Nothing happens after that. The cutscene never starts. I can't pause or look at the map, but I can still move around and use my weapons.

Nobody else seems to have this problem, and I can't find a fix for it anywhere.

Nevermind, I fixed it.

Turns out I just had to verify the game's files.

Could you explain how to fix this exactly? I'm not really sure what you meant, and I'm having the same issue.

Right click on Assassin's Creed III in your games library.

Select "properties."

Select the "Local Files" tab.

Hit "Verify integrity of game cache."

Wait for it to finish, and it should download a missing file or two. This should fix the problem.

Note that most other issues with games in your library can also be fixed with this solution.

I just tried this solution twice, and rebooted, and still no luck. I know that worked for you, but do you have any ideas of what more someone could do?

Sorry to hear you're having issues. The only other solution I can think of is a complete reinstall of AC III and hope for the best.
