Just wasted my money on Ubisoft - Uplay issues.

So what's up with Uplay?
I go to create an account so that I can play ANY of the AC games I spent my money on, and I see that Ubisoft has taken the Uplay servers offline.

Therefore, I can't play my games that I paid good money for.

I think this is part of what we talk about when we say that Steam NEEDS some QA.
I think we should refund money for UNPLAYABLE games, thanks to the actions of a third party, and I think that Ubisoft should be kicked off of Steam as a distribution platform.

Thanks for wasting my money, Ubisoft.
I would have liked to play your games, but alas you just scrrewed me instead.

i have litteraly spent all day playing AC2 and AC3, i havent had the servers go down for me. but reasonable doubt, perhaps it was for the small amopunt of time you tried, try it now, im on uplay right now and its working fine

same thing happened to me too,
I've just bought AC III via Steam. everything just fine when installing the game. but when it need ubisoft client a.k.a uplay, I made an uplay account. but it so hard just to connect to uplay client. even My game (AC III) is not showed up there. how to fix this?

Ok only thing I can suggest is logging out of your Uplay accounts. And closing uplay all togeather. Hit the play button for the game on steam. it will bring up Uplay. Log into the Uplay and it should connect. I hope this works for you. If it does not I suggest just uninstalling Uplay all togeather. Then going to the main website and downloading Uplay directly from there. I hear sometimes the games Download older versions of it so it can cause it to glitch. Also make sure the cloud sync and proxy are turned off for uplay. You can change those settings in the Uplay launcher. GOOD LUCK!

yeah it worked.
I just uninstalled uplay game launcher, then I downloaded Uplay client again from http://uplay.ubi.com/
You right, because the UI interface is different from Uplay previous version.
