I actually liked the The Tyranny of King Washington DLC.
I mean, It was really a nice touch. an alternate event, the powers, the story.
I still play it from time to time. and now it's just gonna be gone in September.

I mean seriously, I really think Ubisoft should think this through.

not just for this, but all the older games.

Online servers, fine. it's understandable. But Singleplayer DLC? come on!

I like it too. And the DLC for AC2 and AC Brotherhood. It's a shame that ubisoft is doing this, and I think this will become a PR disaster for them

Yeah, it is a shame really. It's hard to support a company who just decline everything. People who bought DLC can't download it anymore. Everything seems just pointless to buy if they are just gonna take everything away whenever.

Exactly. I feel way less inclined to buying Ubisoft's games going forward. If they don't honour my purchases, what is the point?

I was thinking about to have a one last buy. The Ezio Collection to the Nintendo Switch. But then I have found out that only AC2 was on the Cartridge. Brotherhood and Revelations is digital download. And not just that. You still need to access Ubisoft Connect and agree to play the game. You just can't own one single game from Ubisoft. So sadly no buy.

AC2 dlc, at least the two story related ones, shouldn't be lost as they are integrated within the main sequences.

Yes! Absolutely. Totally agree! That DLC must be kept.

Wasn't Altair's armor a part of a dlc as well? You have to collect some keys to unlock it?

It was ages ago I played AC2. I was gonna to replay it again before Sep 1 if I have the time.

Nah the armor is part of the main game. In AC Brotherhood you even start with the armor briefly before losing it lol. :steamfacepalm:

I think they had already shutdown the AC2 servers. I don't know if those sequences were exclusive to the Deluxe edition, but I managed to get a profile savefile with the deluxe edition content activated and it unlocked the bonus content. This method also worked for uplay content that was no longer available to be redeemed and for other Ubisoft games. I just don't know if it will work with AC3, because it seems like their DLC DRM is a bit different.

Damn, I forgot those Outfit are part of a DLC as well. I use all of them pretty much in Brotherhood.

Ubisoft really did mess this up.
Only Liberation is a loss.
Tyranny was the best part of the worst game in the series and it is part of the Remastered version, the least Ubi could do is be like From Soft and at least discount 90% off the Remastered version.

I agree. People who bought the Original should have some discount to the remastered version. I like AC3, but not that I have to have remastered version. I have nothing against it. But I'm happy with the original.

So I was rushing to 100% every Assassin's Creed up to 3 and Liberation before September, just to find out that Ubisoft didn't even manage to stick to the announced deadline. Servers are already down, Tyranny is already inaccessible. Great, just great. As if losing access to bought single player content isn't bad enough (I would say it's unacceptable), now I don't even get to play it at all. Not to mention all the other games I didn't get around to so far that get (or got already) shut down.

Can someone explain to me why I should ever pay money for a Ubisift game again? I can't think of any good reason.

It's actually possible to unlock the DLC. But, you need a save file and probably the AC Save Tool for decryption, I think another person is doing a guide about it soon

I'm sorry you didn't get to play further in the DLC. That's sucks. It's a good DLC in my opinion.

I can't really see any reason why you should buy any games in the future.

Not when i know there should be a choice to patch everything in the main games, and separate the Online service with the Single Player DLC.

Just got an answer from the support after venting to them. They claim there is a server problem independent of the upcoming shutdown and allegedly a team is working on it. In other words, they try to save themselves to the deadline by lying to customers (sorry, ex-customers), as if the problem would go away once September comes around.

According to another thread here, the server is unreachable since the middle of July, so for over a month now. Doesn't look like anyone is "working" on it.
