One should think that this is a bug (or whatever) it would be possible to sort out, but oh well, Ubisoft. *lol*
I guess that Ubisoft thinks that "old games are old". Meaning they aren't worth investing the time/money to stomp bugs. Yeah, Ubisoft can be insane sometimes.
This particular game could also have been far better if it were not for the nuisance that are many of the optional objectives. While I do like challenges, I do not like challenges that I have to repeat a dozen times because they cannot be completed owing to a bug. I really like the setting of this game, but the bugs kill the fun for me.
Anyway, I was thinking of moving on to Blackflag and then maybe Syndicate, but; only if the overall content has improved from AC3.
Any thoughts?
Well, Blackflag is definitely an amazing game if you can handle the fact that the major focus is on Edward Kenway's life and combat at sea, even though the Assassins and their creed as well as the Templers do play a role. These parts are really well done while I felt that the combat at land is a bit too easy considering that you can block and counter almost any attack except for ranged attacks and those from brutes. Still I was able to freely murder guards in mostly any region and city without even getting close to death. The combat at sea is, as I said, amazing, especially because you do not start out all powerful but need to upgrade your ship as you progress through the game.
Edward is also easily the most interesting protagonist in the series besides Ezio, and you do get attached to several NPCs. So, from my side, it is a clear thumbs up.
As concerns Syndicate, I have not played it and thus cannot tell you anything about it.
