Shaky screen issue
Hello everyone! I recently picked up Assassins Creed 3 for free on uplay from the Ubi30 anniversary and when i lauched the game, after going through the door after the tutorial, my screen started shaking like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I noticed some shakyness (if shakyness is even a word) in the intro when desmond and his crew is getting out of the car but i thought that for some reason it was part of the game. Can someone help me pls? i really want to play this great game but this crappy ass glitch is preventing me to do so. (my full system specs can be found in my profile info box)

My father back home is having this same issue as well. He has an AMD RX 480 and hopefully there is a fix somewhere around. He never got to play that game before so I'm trying to search for some information regarding a fix.

I set the game to maximum settings and it ran at 50-60 fps so i doubt that this issue is because of my system. I know assassins creed games are very demanding but this is unacceptable considering the year this game was released and its still broken

Managed to fix it here. Here is what solved for me:
1) Go to Documents\Assassin's Creed III
2) Open the Assassin3.ini file with notepad
3) Insert modifications as follows:
[Graphics_DX11]
MonitorDesc=Generic Pnp Monitor

Set you resolution and refresh rate according to yout monitor
Set Texture, Environment and Shadow Quality (0 is lower, and the maximum number is the highest possible opition on the menu)

Turn off VSync.

Enjoy!

It work ! but for only few minutes... I don't know why but the modif in Assassin3.ini, go back to default when i launch the game...
But thank you !!

Try to make the file read-only. Maybe that way the game won't be able to change it. Hope it helps.

I tried the same fix on the .ini file, but even with it read only the screen shakes come back after maybe 30 seconds of play.

Is there anything else that could be causing this problem?
