FIXED - Assassin's Creed 3 - Load failed. A Required Downloadable Content is missing."

HELP ME! I cannot load any of my save files, just a window pops up that says "Load Failed. A required downloadable content is missing." And it isn't letting me play my game. I know there's probably thousands of threads just like this but I'm trying to consider any other outcomes.
PLEAAAAASE HELLLLP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sad truth is, there is no other outcome. They ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up our saves when they released the latest patch.

They apparently are "looking into it" ... but this was over a week ago. Looks like they did something they can't fix.

Restart, or continue waiting.

Is that really the only way? And if I were to restart, does that mean I can't access my DLC items when I complete the game (for a 6th time now)?

Well im stuck waiting for them to fix it too as I dont want to restart playing after I made sure to do everything 100 % as soon as I was able to... exploration/side quests etc... doing it all again would be just dull.... UBI do Your damn job right this time and fix what You screwed up!

Exactly, like I'm at 64% but I'm not a huge gamer where I 100% everything, I just like to free roam. But I have ALL the feathers collected, all the homestead missions complete, and all the campaign missions 100% for the Altair outfit (and that ♥♥♥♥ takes too long) so I'd rather not start that ♥♥♥♥ over again, I'd rather stick my ♥♥♥♥ in an anthill.

I was reading some more, it seems I have to download a "Brazilian/Portuguese Language Pack" for it to work.

I have not heard of this before, you're saying if we download a Brazil/Portu language pack it will fix the "Load Failed" issue?

Please reply back if this actually works for you. I too am desperate for a fix, but I have not seen anyone actually fix it

I read some threads on the internet and some people are saying that the reason why it says "Load Failed. A required downloadable content is missing." is because Ubisoft just put in a language setting for AC3 but the saves we have that were clearly made before this language patch doesn't contain the new patch. So I don't know how to fix it or 'download' a language pack but what I'm going to try and do is verify the game cache, change the steam language setting to Brazilian, reboot steam, and start the game.

Update: Did not work. I will look more into it though, can't make any promises.

I have the same issue... What a waste of time, for a game like this where you can spend hours to have to start again... This is not good.
