Level checking Classic Doom
Reposting a little list I made, indicating what it is included in the BFG Edition, and what is not.

1. DOOM
- 27 levels from vanilla Doom (8 regular & 1 secret for each of the 3 episodes)
- 9 levels from Thy Flesh Consumed (8 regular & 1 secret from the 4th episode from Ultimate Doom)
- 2 levels (Hell Gate & Hell Keep) from the Jaguar port (also present on the PSX version)
- 3 levels (two regular, Twilight Descends & Threshold of Pain; 1 secret The Marshes) from the PSX port.
- 1 secret level (Sewers) from the X-Box Version.

TOTAL: 42 levels.

Of these, the BFG Doom includes the 27 vanilla levels & the 9 from Thy Flesh Consumed.

2. DOOM II
- 32 levels from Doom II (30 regular, 2 secret)
- 21 levels from Masters Levels (20 regular, 1 secret)
- 9 levels from No Rest for the Living (8 regular & 1 secret from the extra X-Box 360 episode)
- 3 levels (1 regular Redemption Denied; two secret The Mansion & Club Doom) from the PSX port.
- 1 secret level (Betray) from the X-Box Version.

TOTAL: 66 levels.

Of these, the BFG Doom includes the 32 original Doom II levels & the 9 from No Rest for the Living. X-Box Map Betray is included, but not reachable unless using the console. Of note, secret levels 31 & 32 have been modified to remove references to certain WW2 bad guys.

3. Final DOOM
- 32 levels from Final Doom - The Plutonia Experiment (30 regular, 2 secret)
- 32 levels from Final Doom - TNT: Evilution (30 regular, 2 secret)

TOTAL: 64 levels.

Not included in the BFG Edition

4. DOOM 64
- 32 levels (25 regular, 4 Secret, 4 Fun levels)

TOTAL: 32 levels

Not included in the BFG Edition

Total levels for Classic Doom: 204 levels.

Some of those levels had nothing to do with official releases. In the case of the Xbox version the guys responsible for the Xbox Doom 3 port had once started making a custom wad and never finished - so they snuck it onto the disk as an unofficial easter egg.

There's also the issue of some of those versions of the game you're listing are missing huge chunks of maps (the Jaguar version for instance). Your listing doesn't reflect that.

Doom 64 shouldn't even be on this list. It's not the same game engine, and doesn't support maps from other versions of Doom and therefor shouldn't be listed as "classic Doom." I do find it sad that it's never been re-released anywhere officially since it's creation - but that's probably more to do with licensing from Nintendo than anything else. However if you're going to include it anyways, lets add in the Doom RPG and the Doom 3 rail shooter for phones. At least the Doom RPG looks like the original engine.

I really don't think we'll ever see a "full" version of Doom 1 and 2 even if it's just someone inserting all the extra maps that have been made over the years. Picking on the BFG edition about it (why else would you list Final Doom and Doom 64 after all) really isn't going to solve anything or help anyone. If you want to see a complete collection packaged in one game, talk to some modders. I'm pretty sure every person who's ever owned a copy of Doom would be interested in that.
