Only thing I can think of is right click on game, click properties and then in launch options put
set com_allowconsole 0. I know if you do this command and put 1 it activates the console, so maybe this will trick the game into thinking it is not activated.

ok, i got it, apparently game has a bug with the Steam overlay, if you take a screenshot meanwhile you are playing Doom 3 it will be block your achivements. Just don't save if that message appears, just close the game and restart it

It happens when you take a screenshot. To fix it reload a save before this message came up and go into your C:\users\NAME\savegames\doom3bfg and delete the "consolelog" or whatever is similar to that text file. This is how I fixed it. In the future just know that for whatever reason the default steam screenshot key does this.

I fixed this by rebinding my screenshot key in the game. You can take steam screenshots with f12 like normal but rebind the in-game screenshot key.

The screenshot key? Really? Well I always loaded a savegame when this messaged poped up, so I hope this achievement run of all the PDAs, videos and lockers isn't screwed up now.

I don't have such file and correct path to saves is:
C:\users\NAME\id Software\DOOM 3 BFG\base\savegame

EDIT - don't bother with that consolelog file. I had the same issue as ppl here. All I did was to load a previous savefile and it worked. Bind Steamoverlay Screenshot key to something else than ingame Screenshot key to avoid issue.

Well just to confirm the worst. I forgot about this and take a screen shoot using F12, then the game showme the "console etc etc..." I just reload the game and no archivements... (proven with To Be or Not to Be Kill the scientist trapped next to the Reactor Control Room in DOOM 3)

Delete last save (check the date). Load PREVIOUS save. It will work as it worked for me.

I use the nuemeric buttons + button for screenshot. It's easy to hit it when you want a quick screencap anyway.
