How do I enable cheats on Doom 3 BFG Edition?

I'd like to know how to enable cheats for Doom 3 BFG Edition. I don't plan on playing online or anything, and the Steam achievments can take a hike as far as I'm concerned. Say what you will about me, this is how I play most FPS games. Others I play straight through, no cheats used, because for those games there are none. Any suggestions would be great
