Play fullscreen on a 4k monitor.

Hello guys, I have a 4k monitor laptop that runs DOOM 3 on 4k horribly, but everytime I lower the resolution it runs on windows mode or full screen but the game is on a smaller scale, do you know how to play full screen at lower resolutions , ex, 1080p, on a 4k monitor ? thank you

Have you tried changing your OS's default resolution down from 4k to 1080?

Hello, thanks for your reply, I did but after I launch the game it goes back to 4k

That's the only thing I can think off the top of my head. My resolution is 1080, so I don't have any experience with 4k issues. Maybe try scouring Google?

I've had this same problem on some other games, namely EvE and Trove but i don't have a 4K monitor, instead i'm running it with the Nvidia dynamic super resolutions setting.

*EDIT* I also reccomend upgrading to a desktop or at least a laptop with very high end to top of the line hardware when playing games at such a high resolution.

Set your gpu driver to scale to fullscreen.
