Can't Use Mouse
Can someone please explain this and/or provide a solution? I just installed this game tonight. I can't use the mouse at all, and this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ extremely irritating. I've spent the last 2.5 hours on google, trying to find solutions, and find it hard to believe that no one else has encountered this same issue.

I'm looking for solutions here and any help is appreciated. I never got the chance to play Doom 3 and would love to experience it. The original Doom games are what got me into FPS games a long ass time ago. Was really miffed with this issue tonight with the mouse. Thanks in advance to anyone with a proper solution that works.

Hmm, try to go to the doom settings with the arrow keys, maybe your sensitivity or something is 0?
Bacon Jul 21, 2014 @ 6:54am
Yea, I tried unbinding the arrow keys but there's no way to bind turning the the mouse movement, and I tried turning sensitivity all the way up. Nothing worked. :/

thats very strange, I've noticed strange things to with doom bfg (1 and 2 classic). I can't use the W button, so I can't move forward.
Can you use the mouse in the options menu or in the menu where you have to choose which doom you want to play?
Bacon Jul 21, 2014 @ 7:39am
Yea, I can use it in the menus just fine. I can switch between games and all that. Even in game the mouse works fine in the menu.

try reïnstall the game, i'm doing that to now. You have kind of the same problem as me. My "moving forward button" (W) doesn't work in doom 1 and 2 and your mouse movements doesn't work

Yea I guess that's my only option at this point, that's the one thing I haven't tried...I certainly hope it works. I'd hate for this game to be a waste of money, even if I did get it on sale.

After playing through most of the campaign, after a recent update, I can't use mouse look at all too. Works in menus, PDA, and used to work in game too, just went to continue playing today and it's not responding at all in anything other than menus and PDA. :(

Had the same problem. Noticed that the menus showed A ,B , X and Y buttons like if it was made for consoles.
What helped for me was to go into the "...\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOM 3 BFG Edition\base" folder and rename the following files:
- joy_360_0.cfg
- joy_360_1.cfg
- joy_lefty.cfg
- joy_righty.cfg

After renaming the 4 files mouselook was working again like it used to.
Hope this'll help others as well.

Rename them to anything, I suggest xxxx.WA0 just in case you ever need the joystick stuff, lol. Just delete them if you like, the mouse will then work fine.

After reading what Deadlock said if you (Bacon) have a Xbox 360/One or Razer Wildcat or similar Xbox Controllers plugged in try to unplug them start the game and see if you are now able to move with the mouse. Some games override mouse look controls if you have a controller plugged in, that can be used as an Xbox contoller.

That does not work for me.
