Doom 3 BFG with xbox x\s controller

Dear All,
i tried to search in the discussions but did not find any useful hint

I just purchased Doom3 bfg on steam platform installed on my asus laptop running win11

question is very simple:
cannot find a way to configure properly my xbox controller x\s... I have access to main commands like: walk, fire, etc... but for other controls i need to use the keyboard (crouch, run, weapons carousel, access to gathered PDAs, fast saving, fast loading...etc)

any idea?

Do you have Steam Input enabled in this game? If so disable it and enable controller input in the Doom 3 BFG settings, this game has builtin Xinput controller support and default layout already has pretty much all those functions except for quick saving/loading.
Weapon carousel? Dunno if this game has it, shoulder buttons switch between weapons.

At least that's how it works for me with Xbox One wireless controller model 1708 connected via Bluetooth.

Yes, i managed to disable steam input.. and now is almost ok... but still crouch not accessible via controller...anyway better than nothing... tks
