Alpha Labs 1 Campbell early death glitch

I was able to kill Campbell in the hallway near the hydrocon by killing the enemies in the hydrocon room, running into the hallway, and shooting Campbell before he turned the corner. I got his BFG gun too. I really wish they would fix that, since no cheats are required, and it confuses the storyline as he is alive later on.
