How to use CHEAT CODES for DOOM and DOOM II on STEAM (BFG edition)

Hello !

These last days i finished DOOM and DOOM 2 without cheat codes (Nostalgia).
i used to play with cheat codes when i was a kid.
I saw the BFG was on STEAM and that was a great opportunity to finish this game as an adult (Without cheat codes) and also DOOM3 :), before playing DOOM4 ^^
Today i wanted to play the "Wolfenstein" level or "secret level" and i didn't know how to get it.
I found on internet that the Wolfenstein level was hidden but you can get it in the level 15.
Unfortunately i had no saves for the level 15, so i tried to find something to use cheat codes.

It's really simple :

1) Go to your Steam library (Games)
2) Click Properties (DOOM3 BFG edition)
3) Set Launch Options and type the command there : +seta com_allowconsole 1
4) Ingame, open the console, use ² (azerty keyboard) or ~ (qwerty keyboard) or ¬ for UK layout

And try these cheat codes for DOOM II (US keyboard) :

GOD : IDDQD
ALL WEAPONS, AMMO and KEYS : IDKFA
MAPS : IDCLEV # (# is the number of the level, so you can go where you want)
NO WALL : NOCLIP

For DOOM1 codes, google it ;)

PS : Don't forget, if you allow the console mode, you can't get ALL Steam achievements.

Wrong ! For GOD MODE :

DOOM1 : idqd (iddqd doesn't work on STEAM version)
DOOM2 : iddqd

It's really simple : I DONT THINK THE FOURTH STEP IS REALLY SIMPLE can SOMEONE please tell me what OPEN THE CONSOLE MEANS?????

Or you can use Classic RBDoom 3 BFG[github.com].
By simply using it's launcher or the launch option "-classich" you can enable the classic doom cheat codes without the console (NOTE: On both games for the GOD MODE you have to use the iddqd)

the console is a window ingame to control the engine of the game.
to open it use this key : ²

ok you are making me to REPEAT myself simply put you merely say use the 2 but WTf is that small two also you bnoth arewron you use the "~" key to open the "conole" menu I youtubed it and get the answer I needed before you replied to my INITIAL post.....

My keyboard is not a qwerty, so i think that's why you didn't find it, and yes the key for you is : ~

It's more or less dead...Most of time people want to play the game for multiplayer achievements..
If you really want to play this game, buy DOOM 3 (not the BFG edition) and play with bots with a mod..

Can you still get the achievements if you cheat in Doom 1 and 2?
