I also play this on laptop and my game wouldn't even launch before this.
My laptop screen is 144hz and yet I can't launch the game without the fullscreen -1 command.
Original Doom 3 can use only 60 Hz mode.
r_fullscreen -1 and all other solutions are about forcing game to run in borderless fullscreen windowed mode instead of exclusive fullscreen. Game engine will still run at either 60 or 120 fps.
120hz is set in game options, but I have limited my laptop to 60.
Windows 10 i7 RTX 2070
My res is 1920x1080, 144hz. And this game refuses to launch if I don't use the fullscreen -1 command.
with the Steam launcher options did the trick for me.
Thx MASTAN
This game doens't like anything higher than 100% apparently.
Where to find DPI settings on laptop?
