Best VR mod
I saw there are couple of mods to play this game in VR, but which one is the best?

I don't know the best as I am new to the scene. So I went with what was newer. Here is my guide...

The latest VR Mod that I could try at this time:
https://github.com/NPi2Loup/DOOM-3-BFG-VR

Above is forked on: (post here if you have issues)
https://github.com/KozGit/DOOM-3-BFG-VR

This all incorporates the non vr build of:
https://github.com/RobertBeckebans/RBDOOM-3-BFG

NPi2Loup kept up on making updates. When the author of KozGit returns I would think he will take over again. That's why you will see current issues being tracked on his repository by NPi2Loup go figure.

Note If your computer has a iGPU you may need to go the the NVidia Control Panel and add a rule to ensure that Doom3BFGVR.exe is running on the dedicated graphics card and not integrated graphics. The game will not load or work otherwise.

Once in VR you will have to go into the game settings turn off the comfort modes, get out of third person camera or your guy will walk out of his own body and you will stay put. Turn on controller walking, Turn off the full body rendering, use only hands with weapons for a better experience. You will want to crank up the walking speed from -20 to 50. Lots of options to make this game work the way you want. I might add to the guide later.

The VR mod looks pretty good as is. And you may want to stick with just that for better stability. I pushed my testing further and I went ahead and installed the HiDef mod to see if it would work and I had better luck using it over the Ultimate HD mod which crashed many times. I could not get both mods to work together well enough yet so I just stayed with the HiDef mod for now.

If you want to experiment with graphic mods you will have to delete the <install>/Doom 3 BFG Edition/Fully Possessed/Generated folder and also the <User Profile>/Saved Games/id Software/Doom 3 BFG/Fully Possessed/renderprogs folder to reset any preloaded game assets. The maps will have to reload and this will take time between levels if your game suddenly freezes.

I used HIDEF_3.2.7z
https://www.moddb.com/mods/doom-3-bfg-hi-def/

Try extracting only the hidef folder.
Move all hidef/*.resources files to the steam Doom 3 BFG Edition/Fully Possessed/ Folder.
Delete Generated and renderprogs folders as described above if they exists.
Then fire up Doom3BFGVR.exe to enjoy!

You might need to have the Visual C++ 2013 redistributable installed. You can Google the missing dlls to see if it’s apart of that package. Did you install and run the mod (1st link) inside the games Steam base folder? My memory is foggy but I believe I followed the install instructions on the 1st VR link before trying to do the HiDef mod.

Hey hi thanks for trying this, me too as well is trying to achieve this using the hidef mod. However, the v3.2 is no longer available so I had to use the v3.7 one. All ressources files seem all there, also no crash but the visuals are not upgraded at all. It seems the mod is not loaded. I also deleted your recommended folders, just to confirm, were you able to make it work using v3.7, maybe it is the culprit.
