Or Classic RBDoom3BFG if you want something to fix the classic Doom games in BFG Edition: https://github.com/MadDeCoDeR/Classic-RBDOOM-3-BFG/releases
Take the contents of either versions of RBDoom3BFG and place them into your Doom 3 BFG Edition folder, then download the the Wulfen and Monoxead textures for BFG Edition here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwE6dxM0O2PsNnFBNUJTTk03RVU/edit?usp=sharing
Rename the Wulfen and Monoxead mod folder to something else like "D3BFGHR" or something and put it into the Doom 3: BFG Edition folder, making sure it does NOT replace or overwrites anything in the base folder. Then go into Launch Options for Doom 3: BFG Edition and add the following without quotation marks: "+set fs_resourceLoadPriority 0 +set fs_game [name of hi-res textures folder]"
This should hopefully get the game running with the Wulfen and Monoxead textures. Source of the texture pack was found from here: http://www.kot-in-action.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4436&sid=f2883d177e8e6f81c53978c781994e20

But i prefer the wulfen and monoxead textures pack that AmethystViper has mentioned above.
Could you clarify the steps? Do I create a "renderprogs" folder and a "gl" subfolder in my mod folder? Tried that and didn't work. Also, do the two glprogs files that came with Absolute HD: interaction.vfp and test.vfp, work for Doom 3 BFG too? Thanks.
B. Yes, they do exist on the vanilla files of the game, so I assume they will work
I already have vanilla Doom 3 working with POM since Absolute HD already has the folder (glprogs) and files (interaction.vfp, test.vfp) already made. It is Doom 3 BFG that I don't those files and folder already made, because the downloads mentioned by the OP don't have that already made. If you say interaction.vfp and test.vfp should work for Doom 3 BFG too, then all I need is where to put them. I installed the texture pack the same way OP suggested, inside the D3BFGHR folder within the game's main folder \Doom 3 BFG Edition. And all the textures show up in the game, so I installed them correctly. As to the location of the POM files, I've already tried:
\Doom 3 BFG Edition\D3BFGHR\renderprogs\gl\interaction.vfp
\Doom 3 BFG Edition\D3BFGHR\renderprogs\gl\test.vfp
That didn't work. So either the vfp files don't work for BFG at all, or I put them in the wrong location.
I'm not a mod-maker, so I wouldn't know how to create resource packages for this. I was counting on the maker of the texture mod (i.e. Wulfen/Monoxead) to include all the resources, as is usually the case, but OP's download doesn't have the needed POM files.
which seems like it may be a more recent version of what AmethystViper shared. It's in .pk4 format, so you have to use the pk4 converter tool that comes with BFA to get it to work with BFG edition. Hope it helps someone
This will not help anyone, it's made for original Doom 3, not BFG Edition. This pack includes not only HD textures and unfinished stuff, but also few updates for original shaders and them aren't compatible with newest from BFG, THIS is the main reason why Ultimate HD BFG and other outdated "HD" packs have so many graphical issues. Actually the best pack for BFG Edition is this, because it's specifically made for this version: https://www.moddb.com/mods/d3hdp-bfg-lite
P.S. It's required RBDoom3BFG (recommended) or Doom BFA source engines.
1. Original Steam BFG edition
2. RBDOOM-3-BFG-1.5.1
3. RBDOOM-3-BFG-1.5.1 (+ Hi def 4.0)
4. RBDOOM-3-BFG-1.5.1 (+ DooM 3 Essential HD Pack BFG Lite (ver. 02/26/2025))

Can’t say that some HD pack is best of the best, but from very first cinematic I mentioned that all text on displays like PDA or monitors in RBDOOM engine is blurred for some reason. Can someone tell me what do I need to edit to restore sharpness back like it is in original BFG?
On screens 3,4 and especially 5 there are missed red lights in D3HDP pack, but are ok in HiDef pack.
HiDef is more respectful for original textures but often seems to over sharped like on screenshot 6. For me in this case D3HD looks better.
