Options -> video settings -> aspect ratio
My problem is basically not even to change the resolution or something, it´s simply to enlarge the screen so the status bar at the bottom disappears (for funny issues when you watch the background-running map demos while being in the menu already shows the enlarged screen without the status bar). Feels a bit weird that none of the formerly known keys seem to work.
If you remove the status bar then how you will get stats like health ?
In case you don't know there is no alternative HUD on Doom 1/2 (maybe gzdoom and relatives have)
I tested it again but still, freeze. Maybe the actual version from february has a problem, when i have time later i could try out an older release version.
But still i don´t understand why they removed that feature. I also remember that - i think with F5 - you could change the overall render resolution to a lower one - that feature is also not working. F1 not working, quicksaves not working - as if the keybindings did not get set.
I checked all folders, but can only find config-files for doom 3, nothing for doom 1/2.
B. The F keys work with the port as long as you don't have a controller connected
C. You dont want to mess with the detail
D. I can make the status bar to go but not to lower further resolution
