Fix Achievements not unlocking with Classic RBDoom 3 BFG
In case you are using one of the latest versions of Classic RBDoom 3 BFG Edition you can unlock all of the game achievements.

But some might expirience issues with that.

This post will give you some detail about possible issues and solutions.

Issue 1: No Open Platform Binaries
In case you downloaded the source code and compile it or using some of the earlier version with steam achievement support you probably not having the Open Platform with Steam Implementation Binaries which are required in order to send the unlock achievement message to the Steam servers.

Solution
In that case go to Open Platform's github page[github.com] and download the latest binaries with Steam.
Extract the folder of your corresponding system (NOTE: Classic RBDoom is mainly supports x64-bit systems) and copy the OpenPlatform Binary (.dll, .so) the the game's base directory and the steam_api to just the game's directory. After that create a file in game's directory and name it "steam_appid.txt" and put in it the game's id (208200).

Issue 2: The game tells me that I use the console but the console is inactive
Even through the message hasn't been updated the message implies that in general you are cheating and therefor the game won't grant you any achievement.

Solution
Aside from having the console inactive make sure the parameters "-classich" or "-warp" are not used also since they are considered cheating too.

Issue 3: I did what the two previous issues said but still nothing
Ah yes, the bane of my miserable existence the profile.bin this file stores ALOT of things about you including even if you have unlocked specific achievements or not.

Solution
Go to
C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Id Software\RBDOOM 3 BFG\<base and/or mod name>\savegame
and delete (and burn it with hellfire) the profile.bin
(NOTE: You will lose your custom button mappings)

bug with feature in rbdoom classic "- All sounds will stop once a cutscene is skipped" , all ambient sound and few light will skipped too , and in future doesn't reload to back.

It is already found and fixed. It will be patched when the new release come out.

Well, anyway I uploaded the fixes in the source code. If you want you can download and compile it on your own (recommended profile is Retail because it includes optimizations and additional adjustements in order to feel like the official release)
