DOOM 3: BFG Edition

DOOM 3: BFG Edition

RPG Mod?
Looking for a mod that doesn't go full Doom-Diablo, but just a mod that makes it so I gain levels/character unlocks/xp/stats/whatever, inventory system or a shop, etc. Just something that makes it feel like you are unlocking something as the game progresses. It's a must that this mod works with the main campaign/expansion, as that's what I am looking to make better. I have tried using the 'upgrade' mods like Perfected Doom 3, etc on the non-BFG edition (I think), but it just doesn't do enough imo. So anything just RPG-eque (even something similar to D'16's progression system) would work. Thanks!

These all look quite interesting (especially the first), but none look to be played with the vanilla campaign.

You guys are still talking about BFG/2019 Editions right ?

I have the original and BFG edition, so either really.

That can be an interesting concept for BFG/2019. Even through the swf support for the SDK of Classic RBDOOM is quite lacking

I enjoy the Diablo 3D mod for DoomI/II. I actually play Doom II mods more than anything these days. My favorites for those games are (after BD & Project Brutality) Rogue-Like Arsenal combined with DoomRPG & Legendary Doom. That makes a perfect RPG-Shooter imo. I also enjoyed Rage a fair bit. It does not get a very good shake from people for whatever reason.

I found a mod called Evolution, after much searching/posting questions elsewhere. It adds some RPG-like elements for the original campaign of Doom 3 (not sure if it works with the expansion yet). I will be giving this a go later on. But after A LOT of looking around this is all I could find.... in case anyone else is interested:

TBH I have NO IDEA lol. Worth giving it a try though. If you do, do let us know. I have been to busy to even try it out with vanilla as of yet.
