VR + HD Texture pack 35-45 FPS on 1080GTX

Running this game on 1080gtx and i7 4790k
I shouldn't be getting fps this low even with the mods.

Additional: GPU is running at 55% CPU 10%. For some reason this game isn't even trying.
35 - 65 is idle. I get drops to 22fps during action

Yep something is wrong... gtx 1080 here with a 4790k and 16gb ddr3 2400mhz win 10. I get 90fps with texture pack plus 1.8 res scale.

I have to turn down options to hit 90fps on a 1070 with 1.4SS no mods.

First of all... Yes I do. 2nd of all a 1080 is a decent bit faster than a 1070. 3rd of all my 1080 is clocked at a non throttling 2100mhz core. 4th of all its not always "all" about the gpu... Cpu and ram speed both matter in vr. Lastly I think I know what my system can and cannot do and I have better things to do than lie about such things on a gaming forum.

I also have no problems recording my gameplay to make you look like a buffoon right here in front of everyone. Wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last either.

In game aa option is garbage... Too much blur. Stick with res scale once you get things worked out.

If you're running RBDoom3BFG, disable any screenrecording tool that's running in the background! (Fraps, Bandicam, Shadowplay,...) It doesn't matter if you're recording or not, if these tools are running, they hook into the opengl api and drop your fps a lot for some reason in this game.

i play doom 3 bfg . with out anymode., on setting i do 120FPS i have G-SYNC monitor asus 279q 1440p abd GTX 1080 NON OC
when i do on 16X AA the game get FPS DOWN to 90 and play around it 100 when i do 4X AA (in the game setting ofc) the game back to play on 120 fps with no FPS DOWN...
i do think this is somthing that to do with the game it's self.,,,

I noticed that most VR games cap at 45 FPS. Atleast with vorpx.

Have to run it with ASW off and no HD texture pack. looks the same to me just runs better.
