Map?
No map?

I noticed I can top right stick and it shows and arrow directed to the next target but is there eventually a map for the entire castle?

Nope. The only time you get a map is when you are in the area select and that is not that great a map. There is also no tracker for pretty much every collectible as well.

Game doesn't have to be classified as a specific genre (which is meaningless) to have a map, which would be useful.

Plenty of games have maps that aren't Metroidvanias!! This, unfortunately isn't one of them.

Both the NES and GB Metroid games don't have maps.
