How is This Compared to Bloodstained Curse of the Moon?

So I see everyone saying that this is more level based rather than open ended exploration. Which means to me it's probably closer to Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 1 & 2 (NOT Ritual of the Night)

I really liked those 2 games, is this about on par with those? Is there reason to replay levels? Different endings?

you can replay the levels after getting new sub weapons, it opens up new paths which leads to new girls to save, I also believe some upgrades to the chars too. its a quasi-metroidvania

You can try alternative route for power-ups and rescue students/collectibles. And also there's 3 endings depends on item collection/dialogue selection and end-game item(pantsu) collecting

I love the CotM games as well, hoping to hear more from people into the classic CV style. Thinking I'll wait until there's an option to turn the ultra annoying voices off.

It's basically Curse of the Moon but easier and not quite as good. Like, it's still enjoyable, but the level design is a bit pedestrian by comparison.

I have no idea why people are getting so annoyed at the voices... a lot of video games have repetitive voice clips but I've never seen it brought up as a serious criticism or a reason not to play a game. It didn't even register to me until I saw complaints.

There are plenty of other games where the voice samples are annoying, seems like this one takes the cake based on my time with the demo.
