Winning bug race but no helmet!

Well for gosh sakes. Does anyone know how many times in a row you have to win the bug race before the creature gives you the helmet? Four consecutives wins and it still won't give the helmet up. AUGH!

Hey! You must win and also bump the helmet out of its head while it jumps ;-)

No problem. I think I also spent a lot of time their winning races and not getting the helmet

No matter if you win or lose the important thing is to click the thing behind his head, to get the helmet.

I eventually figured that out...after long enough to feel rather imcompetent. *grins sheepishly* Anyway, I truly appreciate the comments since I don't often ask for help but when I do, I'm REALLY stymied.
