Crash due to Adobe AIR on Win 10

I'm seeing this crash and would suspect it is due to an AIR dep on Flash. This is on Win 10 x64 with Flash removed.

From procmon, it does appear that this is due to Flash removal as Botanicula.exe attempts to make calls to the system version of Flash.

Hi, hm, strange, Have you been able to launch Botanicula in the past?
In non-steam versions, this is usually caused by some files missing, tried to move them around in and out of the local steam directory, but no luck in getting the error :/
Are you playing the Steam or non-steam version?

Make sure you have the latest update and if nothing changes, try reinstalling with your antivirus switched off (could have blocked some files resulting in an incomplete install).

Yep, I've played before. I re-installed a couple of times now over the past day, including with Win Defender disabled during install/first run.

Right, thanks! So if I understand correctly, you removed Flash from your PC and then the game started crashing. Does this crash happen at a specific point in the game or right at the start, do you see the loading screen for example?

Flash was removed by the Windows 10 update due to Adobe Flash EOL.

The game launches, shows the Amanita Design logo, then as the logo starts to fade, the application closes without an end user visible error; the error is only recorded in the Event Log.

Right, if the logo shows, then this could be a problem with loading the user files (those are not removed by uninstallation), would you please try deleting them?

They are in Documents\BotaniculaSaves
Delete the entire folder, launch the game and let me know if anything changed!
