Extreme Failure at minimum settings and on steamdeck

I have set the visual and audio setting to minimum. I have the minimum settings reported on the game page, plus a little extra processing power, however while playing (not just during the tutorials) the game randomly shuts down my usually reliable pc. I tried the same on my steamdeck with similar out come (if anything a little faster). I tried with bluetooth contoler, wired (as well as wireless) keyboard and mouse. I am unsure how to set the setting to the absolute minimum however as I am new to pc gaming.
