I actually _could_ play Episode 5. If I start the game, go to play and don't simply continue, but switch to Episode 5 directly, it will be playable. But only with random choices.
Btw I use Win7, so it is no Win8 problem.
damn it, i wanna play episode 5. help`?
I actually never realized it didn't show who would come with me after this subsequent playthrough. It did the first time I played through it, but not this time.
So this has happened on every episode release? I only got in to the game after the 4th episode was already out so this is my first time I've experienced a new episode release.
If i click on "play" straight away, I can go for episode 5, but with random (scrappy) decisions, if i resume my episode 4 I end up on the last dialogue (although I completed it almost dozens times), after that one I can watch some credits and then it says "Coming soon" for episode 5.
And the strange thing is additional - my stats shows me some "working" name, like "Decision 1, Part 1: You resulted 5:2".
Running windows 7 64 bit
go to your steam walking dead folder
\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\default
and rename or delete prefs.prop
start the game again.
now it works with ALL the choices you made. had the same thing happen to me between eps 3 and 4. worked then and does now :)

worked for me too! ttg-dev explains it here very well. just finished ep.5 - walking dead is one of the best games these days, for sure! :o
Does anyone know?
The folder
Macintosh HD>Users>*Username*>Library>Application Support>Steam>SteamApps>common>The Walking Dead
only contains the "TheWalkingDead.app"
This seems to be a different problem. Also, I could find no supposed "ttg-dev"
