Does this game spoiler the TV Series on AMC?

I never read the book so I'm following the story for the first time just watching the TV series and I would like to know if the story of the game is a different one or it has spoilers for who's watching the series..

I have been been caught up with the TV series consitantly, and have played the game. The game takes place ~1 week before the show. This is only relevant in some situations, such as the character that leaves at the end of Episode 1, does so so that later on he can be met by the shows characters. Some of the characters are also crucial characters on the show (some more from episode 1), but none of that related to them is a spoiler for the show, just more of a back story.

I suppose in Episode 2 there is one small spoiler that turns into a semi-significant revelation on the show, so you might consider that a spoiler. What you learn in Episode 2 doesnt get revealed on the show until the end of Season 2 of the show, but its just used to set the mood on the show and doesnt really change the plot or anything like that.

The only person from the TV show is Glenn and it actually helps flesh out his tv character without spoiling anything.

some people are the same (hershel, shawn, glenn etc) as in tv series or comics but nothing overlaps nor gets reveiled also those characters have minor appearances. it is the same universe but the story is entirely different. you can play it spoilerfree.
