How to run Telltale games with PS 3 controller?

I managed to use a PS3 controller on steam with games like "Rayman Legends", "Don't Strave", "Rogue Legacy" etc. Therefor I am using MotionJoy. Even Steam-Big Picture recognizes the controller and works fine with it.

It works fine for those games wired and wireless. But when it comes to "The Walking Dead" or "The Wolf among us" it just doesnt work. Those games do not even offer any options under the "CONTROLS" option.

This is wierd because on steam it says "Full controller support" for TWAU and "Partial controller support" for TWD.

Does this only work with wired 360-Controllers or is there some work around to make this work?

I had the same problem with MotionJoy with The Walking Dead. I found that if I minimised TWD and just clicked the vibration test in MJ, then went back to TWD, it would sometimes then recognise the controller. Make sure MJ and your controller are plugged in BEFORE launching TWD too. Some games are crappy at recognising controllers if they're not there from the moment you run the game.

Pretty late answer but if you are still interested:
I'm using a Playstation 2 controller with an adapter. To be able to use it in
TWD, I mapped it to emulate keyboard and mouse with XPadder.
(The recent version of XPadder cost money, but I'm using an older one which is free.)

I just finished episode 3 and it has been working fine so far. The quick time events are
a little more difficult but nothing I couldn't handle so far.
