Was it ever explained..... what happened to vernon?

So after molly and vernon left.... where did vernon go there never seems to be any answers aside from the 400 days segment .. but did vernon die or did he just run back to the group off screen??

Vernon goes back to his group and convinces them to steal the boat from Lee's group.

If no one is at the house to guard the boat when it is stolen Vernon will leave a note detailing the reasons for his actions.

There is a reference in 400 days to Vernon's group having lost both Vernon and Brie but no specifics as to how exactly Vernon died.

Joyce claims that it was due to run-ins with outsiders. Boyd blames Vernon for his boat-stealing plan and insists that it's that action that started the downfall of their group.

Ye i just always thought the off screen moments were maybe parts the writers never got to finish.. same with christa we never see them both after they vanish i guess thats the way of telltale employees never to see the characters or story arcs who vanish off the cutting room floor

Thing I never understood about that episode is no matter whether you kill the man or let him go the leader says the choice you made was wrong and immediately tells you to kill the girl.

Wait you just said killing the guy was wrong and now we’re going to make the same move?

I never saw "we lost Vernon because of that damn boat" as Vernon dying, but him becoming obsessed with getting the boat. It also makes sense with "losing" meaning that they left Vernon because he became villainous.

I never saw "we lost Vernon because of that damn boat" as Vernon dying, but him becoming obsessed with getting the boat. It also makes sense with "losing" meaning that they left Vernon because he became villainous.

Vernon's betrayal is what got himself killed.
