About choosing Shawn or Duck... (spoilers)

Hey there. I'm on my second playthrough, and Kenny didn't help me find Clementine on the first run near the end, so I wanna fix that this time... Yet I chose to save Shawn at Hershel's farm thinking that this wouldn't make much a difference since Duck gets to live anyway. But now i'm on chapter 2 and Kenny made a mention about me not caring about his son's life earlier. So will this affect his final choice even if I side with him all along the game or do I still have a chance? Thanks and sorry for my english.

Every choice that involves Kenny has like a certain loyalty value.

If you don’t reach a certain value Kenny can have 3 different stances on helping you.

These are the choices that influence Kenny’s assistance.
Episode 1
Saving Duck instead of Sean
Siding with him against Larry all 3 times.
Giving Duck a candy bar

Episode 2
Side with Kenny against Lilly
Feed Duck (you don’t have to feed Kenny)
Side with Kenny in the meat locker (take a note this is the largest decision if you don’t do this odds are Kenny will not immediately agree to help you even if you sided with him on most choices)
Steal from the station wagon

Episode 3
Side with Kenny in the argument
Don’t fight With Kenny
Put duck down yourself

Episode 4
Kill the kid in the attic yourself
Always support the boat plan
Let Ben drop

Now some choices are valued more then others so I don’t know what each one is worth.
However if you do the meat locker choice along with a large majority of these choices he should jump at the opportunity to help you.

If you didn’t do the meat locker choice or you weren’t on his side for a large majority of these choices he’ll be on the fence about helping you. (Note you don’t have to do every choice for his full loyalty just don’t be against him too many times)

If you sided with him for only a small majoriy he will flat out refuse to help you but I don’t think anyone’s actually gotten this.

I sided with Lilly in the meat locker but also saved Kenny's son in the first chapter. He was on the fence about me when it came time to rescue Clementine. I was able to convince him by reminding him that Clem is my family now.
