How to properly play a gacha-lite game like TFD

here's a primer on how to properly enjoy this free to pay game

PREREQUISITES

You will need

1. lots of money
   
2. lots of time

Despite popular opinion, paying out of your wazoo won't automatically allow you to achieve anything you want in a gacha game, in fact, paying is kind of a baseline requirement, the games are INSANELY GRINDY even paying and even whaling.
So get some money ready and a lot of time ready.

PRIORITIES

LOGIN EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DAY

This is non negotiable
login every day
from the day it releases until the day of the end of service
just do it
if you miss even a single day, your account is considered bricked, as 100% of the content in the game fomo and time limited.
Logging in every day and checking the shop is what the devs demand of you if you want to play the game, so just do it.

TIME LIMITED AND SEASONAL EVENTS

your second priority is to pay and grind the time limited events and seasonal events, they take priority over everything else.
Story? ignore it
Exploration? ignore it
The game will launch with at least 7 different events, of which:

• 2 will be launch events that give a good amount of currency
  
• 2 will be a daily login series and a weekly login series
  
• 2 will be achieving milestones in the game such as leveling to level 20 and clearing a hard interception
  
• 1 will be a twich drops event

Which brings me to

DISCORD TWITCH SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS FACEBOOK EVENTS

Your third priority is to give all your data to nexon
link your twitch, your discord and your social media
do all the surveys and do all the twitch drops
joining their discord will get you a bit of premium currency most likely
just do it, make throwaway accounts if you need to

now finally

ENJOY THE GAME

now you can do the stuff you want, which most likely will be grinding more and doing the story
enjoy the game!

I was expecting a cash shop for TFD and im hoping its something better than pearl abyss's dreadfully over priced shop,as such im looking elsewhere atm for something better,im quite happy if they introduce cosmetics but like others ive seen post if it has P2W products in the shop ill be out as that in the end will kill the free playing player base that every developer team needs to support,i like red dead redemption's reward system that gives daily players cash shop money as part of the reward system for missions ect so players who are unable to pay get to buy into the cash shop items as a benefit for putting in the time?grind(remember these players are the ones who normally help guide/assist new players into the game so in turn build up the base numbers in game that makes the player experience so much better).
I played Vindictus back in the day and never had a problem with the game,loved its style and detail even tho it wasnt open world,also enjoyed TFD beta that was recently released and looking forward to the next chance to play,i really hope the team at NEXON working on TFD really work hard to release a decent and fair game.

Yup i wont mind supporting NEXON if the game keeps me coming back and as i said as long as its a fair cash shop for all,Marathon by Bungie is looking good also so theres always other alternatives if they get greedy.

that's the funny thing! even with a credit card you cannot skip all the grind
logging in every day is mandatory even for whales

Nope, refer to my second part of the post. Hire some goons and do the stuff for you. A real whale is more godlike than you think. Better yet, get a small army to farm gold to sell or use. 1 man to 10 PC, each with 10 instances of TFD auto-botting.

you see when you claim a game is pay to win the first fanboy response is "well how do you in in the first descendant? more like pay to lose LOLOLOLOL XDXDXDDDDD"
which is why you gotta narrow the definition of pay to win so that it conforms to the worldviews of fanboys
